Hey everyone.....we want to spotlight Dad this month. So....Dad, please answer those questions on the right, and email me the answers and I'll update it. If anyone else has some question ideas for our spotlight...let me know. And, I'll add them. Plus, I wanted to add a good picture of your dad, and I don't have a really good one. If you do....email me!! And I'll add it.
Also....Mom emailed me this, and I want to share it with everyone.
ABOUT DAD:
Let me get you some tid-bits about him…………
We all know he is a great guy, but I am sure most of you do not know just how great he really is!! This is a man who have never used a swear word, even when he was incredibly upset or angry. He keeps his cool very well, but does loose it from time to time as we all do, but he has never said anything mean or nasty or belittling or cutting in his frustration. He loves his children and children in law and grandchildren very deeply and feels a sense of responsibility and a desire to keep them safe and happy, even though, for most of them now, that is entirely out of his hands. His sense of family runs very deep and he hurts when anyone in the family is hurting.
He loves a good gospel discussion and will get off onto some things I just stay away from, but he always comes back to the truth he knows, but has a deep desire to know more of the mysteries of the kingdom. He loves to read books on gospel doctrine, almost any subject, as long as it is written by a very reliable source as long as it is not over an inch in thickness. He loves and honors his priesthood, always has.
He loves to travel and see new places; he loves to go camping, hiking and exploring……. the mountains are his favorite. He absolutely loves Hawaii and has a great desire to go back. Anything out doors appeals to him……….but he is not into hunting or fishing or playing most sports although he does love to play volleyball, throwing Frisbees and he likes to watch just a little bit of football………He loves to watch the Olympics, summer and winter games alike. He likes to get the group together and do something unusual outside, like lawn surfing, midnight hiking, water slides, playing in the snow, duck tape sword fights, etc. He loves to be with the young men and his own children and doing cool stuff with them……….like hiking the Y in Provo, hiking grand canyon, hiking Mt Timpanogas, anything that get you up and moving.
Dad likes oatmeal, raisin cookies the best, he doesn’t like instant pudding, but he does like cooked puddings (and I havn’t made it for him forever!!) He loves lemon meringue pie, and banana cream pie. He loves roast and potatoes and carrots. He does not care for most pasta dishes, or casseroles………meats and potatoes and corn is what he likes. He did not like Mexican food when we were first married, but I have changed that and he will even suggest a Mexican restaurant sometimes when we go out to eat. He still does not care for Oriental foods.
He loves movies………Westerns……War……….Action….Comedy………some Suspense……..Classics……….and even Musicals. He does not like Horror or dark films. He prefers to watch movies in his own home and rarely likes to go to theaters……….too many people.
He loves little children and babies and misses them terribly in our home. He was so disappointed when we could not have any more children. He loves to hold infants and to fall asleep with them while snuggling with them. He is very good with babies and loves to play with the toddlers.
He loves the smell of fresh mint and loves the sound of the ocean.
So.....there is a little bit about Dad. (Most of you already know all of this, but I didn't know it all....so....Thanks Mom.)

Thanks mom! I honestly didn't know the majority of that! Strange how much you can learn about someone through a little spotlight, huh? OH! DO NOT let dad answer the question "what is your favorite childhood memory" with the made up story about the bubble over the house...we want to hear some truth! And something different... :) Thanks again!
Hey Mom, could you get Dad to answer those questions on the right of the screen, so that I can update our "spotlight"? Thanks.
