Ok.........I swear I am not swearing! It's just that I had to do this "dam" post, because all of you need to see this. Dad hired an earth mover, bull dozer, track loader....what ever you want to call it, to build a dam across the creek. So take a look at this!!
Right where it was years ago.......
In the process of being built.............higher than we had it before............
....with a road going across it so we now have a circle drive.........
Took TWO WHOLE DAYS to get this thing built!
Samuel, Scott and Stephen smoothing it out so it can be driven on. Pretty cool, huh? So take a look at this!!
Not even ONE WEEK after the dam is built......we get a MAJOR storm..........tons of rain.....so this is what it looks like Thanksgiving morning............
Flooding everywhere!! Because of that, we now have water behind the dam and in front of it, and water going across the driveway and road..........It has gone down now..........no water going across the driveway anymore......but the dam is holding!! We will see what happens in the future!!
