Finally.......pictures of the addition

For those of you who have not seen the house lately............here are a few pictures to give you an idea of what it looks like..........Dad and Stephen worked all night--until 5:30 the morning of Samuel and Aubrey's open house...........talk about cutting it close!! But it looks great and I have to tell you, I am so PROUD of my husband!! He can do anything! Sometimes it gets done in unconventional ways, but it always turns out to be great! No one could see the pictures of the addition that he had in his head but him.......as for me, I like what he was seeing!!

This is posted over the door of the "hole". Need I say more?

The piano is now in the corner where we always put the Christmas tree.....added a new lamp, a couple of new wall hangings, and there you go!

Hey look!! We have a ceiling fan!! We are sooo COOL!!

View of the living room looking in from the addition.........the same, I know, but hopefully some day soon we will get new furniture and carpeting and things will be very different!!

View of the addition looking west.....thanks to Grandma Willis for all her hard work on the window seat cushions. They are totally AWESOME!!!! (I love my Mom!!)

View of the addition looking to the east.........the carpet is temporary......it will all be the same, "brand-new", some day!!

View from Stephen's room..............

Our new front door and pictures of the fam...........lovin' it!!

The entrance to our home..........with Christ observing our comings and goings.........it turned out so nice!!

And a view from Scott's bedroom door.

There you go! Thanks for having the open house here Samuel. Otherwise this room would have NEVER gotten done!! OK...........so our next big projects is..................????

A few of my favorites..........

This one is my absolute....very favorite picture, of both Aubrey and Samuel. Love the fact that Aubrey loves to catch snowflakes in her mouth!! Love it!!

The long and short of it.............

Typical of the two of them............

Time to take a break.................Aubrey is so gorgeous!!

Are we having fun yet?

Who took this picture? Who is Melinda sticking her tongue out at?

I love the look on Jayden's face...........she obviously adores Rylan!!

What a group!! I love them all so much!!

She looks happy.......:)

Sophie really IS happy!! What a darling picture!!

Do you have any favorites from the wedding? Share!!!

Merry Christmas!

Well. We have 12 days till Christmas! And 6 days till we all are together!
So i decided to do the first Christmasy post and show you all my Christmas tree!!
:)

And while im on here i might as well show you how I decorated my apartment, what ive been working on all semester long! It was finally finished when i got back from the thanksgiving break.

And this has also been worked on all semester.
It goes all the way around the top of the cupboard.

Well! Cant wait to see everyone!

Oh Dam!!!

Ok.........I swear I am not swearing! It's just that I had to do this "dam" post, because all of you need to see this. Dad hired an earth mover, bull dozer, track loader....what ever you want to call it, to build a dam across the creek. So take a look at this!!

Right where it was years ago.......

In the process of being built.............higher than we had it before............

....with a road going across it so we now have a circle drive.........

Took TWO WHOLE DAYS to get this thing built!

Samuel, Scott and Stephen smoothing it out so it can be driven on. Pretty cool, huh? So take a look at this!!

Not even ONE WEEK after the dam is built......we get a MAJOR storm..........tons of rain.....so this is what it looks like Thanksgiving morning............

Flooding everywhere!! Because of that, we now have water behind the dam and in front of it, and water going across the driveway and road..........

It has gone down now..........no water going across the driveway anymore......but the dam is holding!! We will see what happens in the future!!

Trick Or Treat

Happy Halloween from the Stokes!
